Paella, wine, bulls, & everything else of España. Vale?

Salamanca decided to drop like 20 degrees last night, but that didn’t stop us from having a great night! :)
Today’s plan: start my spanish lit analysis paper, go for a run, chocolate & churros & writing our names down in history tonight @ Paniagua. See all the writing on the walls in this picture? Well our will be added to that tonight.

Haha
Lookin’ good Sal! ;)
After hundreds of stairs up the bell tower, we finally reached the top to be greeted with this view. Falling in love with Salamanca more and more! Today ISA took us on a tour of the private university here in Salamanca, Universidad Pontificia. Run by the Vatican. Once housed by Jesuits.
Survived the war. Beautiful architecture. I mean is this real!? Do I really get to see this?! Not to mention, this tour is NEW (like 2 months new).
We got to see rooms no one else had seen, climb up the bell tower, see the corridor the Jesuits used to walk back and forth on (hasn’t been opened since they left).
After two months, I was finally able to go running! It feels so good to get that runner’s high again! So excited to be able to run in shorts & a t-shirt, with no pain in my foot, and feel that “burn” that I missed so much! It’s a good day!
Gosh can y’all believe it’s been TWO months from my half already!? Time flies!
Extrañaba mucho ir a correr.
Besos!
Trying to book my flights around Italy & Ryanair keeps rejecting my card.
WHY! :( No clue what to do to fix this.
Cleaned this weeked to have a nice study place in my room.
Almost dinner time… waiting, waiting. Can’t wait to catch up on studying to finally finish planning my 10 day trip to Italy!
Happy Sunday!
Maybe this is why I haven’t been able to concentrate.
I have been burried in books (at least trying to) studying for finals,
but in the back of my mind I can’t help but think that everyone is leaving.
Everyone is going back home in the states, my roommate is leaving in a few weeks, others are leaving tonight, my residencia is almost empty. I may not be “friends” with everyone I’ve been blessed to meet here, but it truly makes me sad that we’re all parting ways.
I may never see any of these wonderful people ever again. It’s not like we can do a 10 yr study abroad reunion in Salamanca, you know? YOLO YOSAO (you only study abroad once) courtesy of my roommate Blakely. haha!
But again this reminds me to keep enjoying this.
To allow more people to be part of this experience & allow myself to experience even MORE.
But do the finals really have to be a part of this? Haha
We are all living our dreams! Experiencing a new culture, LIVING in Spain, traveling all over Europe, making new friends, falling in love wether it be with someone or somewhere, making mistakes, blurry nights that turn out to be the most memorable ones, and sharing this with people who were complete strangers & weird looking (lol not literally) just a few months ago.
This is life. People come & go, it’s the precious ones we hold on to. That’s life.
xxo
Last day in Dallas with my best friend!
I look like a boy… lol. With my amazing parents before embarking on this adventure!
